GRAPEFRUIT SEED EXTRACT PURIFIES WATER
There is nothing that can ruin a vacation faster than picking up a bacteria from water, or ice cubes, or something you drank at your vacation destination.
If you've ever experienced Montezuma's Revenge, then you know it can turn, what should be a dream vacation, into a nightmare of pain and agony.
A little known secret for avoiding "Montezuma's Revenge" (loose bowels) when traveling is grapefruit seed extract. Discovered in 1976 by an Einstein Laureate physicist and M.D., the natural antibiotic, antifungal, antiviral, antiprotozoan, antiseptic, and disinfectant properties are recognized and utilized throughout the world, especially in South America, Europe and the Far East.
As an investigator for the Department of Health and Human Services, Public health Service and the FDA, Dr. Louis Parish, M.D., reported that grapefruit seed extract, "is as effective as any amebicide now available, perhaps more effective."
In tests, approximately 200 patients were treated for Entamobea histoliytica and Giardia lamblia, both intestinal "critters" that can cause severe sickness, loss of energy, and in extreme cases, even death due to dehydration. Dr. Parish found that grapefruit seed extract, "gives symptomatic relief more than any other treatment."
You can purchase grapefruit seed extract in capsule or liquid form. The liquid does have a bitter taste, which can be masked when added to a drink such as orange juice. Approximately seven drops added once or twice a day to a glass of juice can be all that is needed to insure healthy travels and avoid bowel problems.

It is also used as a curative as reported by Dr. C. W. Lynn, M.D., of Orlando, Florida. He reports that while traveling in South America, a patient and traveling companion suffered severe diarrhea three days after eating way-side strawberries en route from Argentina to Churin. Dr. Lynn's Clinical Investigational Forum reports that the next morning, the patient "...was down to breakfast and eating. No further bowel problem."

Retain the clear water and add 10 to 25 drops of grapefruit seed extract(less for questionable tap water, more for stream or pond water) for each one gallon of water. Shake or stir vigorously and let sit for a few minutes. A slightly bitter taste may be noticed. This is just the inherent taste of the GSE.
