It happened last spring, I have a small goldfish pond in my front yard, and living in Wyoming, I remove the fish every year so as not to freeze the poor things during our cold winters. Last spring the mosquitoes moved in and laid their eggs before it was actually warm enough to put fish back in. The larvae were nearly 1/2" thick so i just poured a bottle of Sanitizing Mist into the water and the next day the varmints were all dead. The sump pump, a good spraying down with water hose and then new water when the time came cured the problem.

There is a family in Illinois who used it around the baseboards of their home to keep the mice out of the house. They swear it works better than the bar type poison that harms not only our pets but the environment as well.
