herbalist who has a private clinical practice in Santa Cruz, California. She is a founding and
professional member of the American Herbalists Guild, and a contributing writer and Dean of the
East West Herb School. She is the author of The Herbs of Life (published by Crossing Press,
1994), Healing with Chinese Herbs (published by Crossing Press, 1997), and co-author of
Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine, Volumes I and II with best-selling author and herbalist,
Michael Tierra. She teaches Chinese healing theory and techniques, herbology, and women's
groups throughout the US and Britain. Lesley Tierra has also taught children Red-Cross swimming
classes and children's photography classes in Wyoming.
