Kelp Seaweed, Laminaria digitata, is a traditional coastal food, very rich in mineral salts: iodine and chlorides (Na, K, Mg), hydro and liposoluble vitamins (A, C, B1, B2, PP, K, B12) and trace elements (Mn, Fe, Cu, Co, B). Very small does of trace elements are absolutely necessary for the metabolism of living beings. Laminaria digitata is also a source of proteins.
