Goldenrod General Information
Goldenrod blooms in the same locations and as brightly as the infamous ragweed; however, Goldenrod is not an allergic plant. Goldenrod Uses & Scientific Evidence For
In Europe, Goldenrod is used in conjunction with other remedies and/or medications for the treatment of bladder infections, irritation of the urinary tract, and bladder/kidney stones. This herb increases the flow of urine, which helps wash out bacteria and kidney stones. It may also soothe inflamed tissues and calm muscle spasms in the urinary tract as well. The saponins in Goldenrod act against the Candida fungus, the cause of yeast infections and oral thrush. This herb also works well in treating sore throats, chronic nasal congestion and diarrhea. An herbal tea made from the flowery top of Goldenrod is sometimes used for treating seasonal allergies.

Goldenrod Dosage Information
Goldenrod comes in various forms and is an ingredient in many products. The standard dosage is 3 to 4 g of dried herb 2 to 3 times daily. In using a tincture, take 204 ml 3 times a day. For the best results, drink plenty of fluids while taking Goldenrod so it can work more efficiently.
