Over fifty years ago, Dr. Aslan's research and thousands of clinical studies, had already established that the main active ingredient in her formula, procaine hcl, could help to feed and repair damaged cells. During the mid 1980s, extensive research lead to the discovery of a better compounding process, with different procaine complexes that improved the efficiency of the same amount of procaine used in Dr. Aslan's original Gerovital H3 injectable.

Ultimate 9, a third generation procaine based formula, provides the only 100% complex of the same 100mg of Procaine HCl as used in the famous Dr. Aslan's Gerovital H3 injectable, which only achieved a 15% complex factor (15% of the 100mg of procaine hcl provides 6 to 8 hours of benefits, while the other 85% provides less than an hour). Dr. Aslan's 15% complex factor and use of allergen preservatives benzoic acid, potassium metabisulfite, and disodium phosphate left SUBSTANTIAL room for improvements.
